The game registers these different types of range weapons which deal damage variant to enemies in 1 or 2 strikes. You can even charge your melee weapon and swing it to attack them. Below we have mentioned how much damage is required to kill those pesky monsters.

  1. Striker: Strikers are the common enemy which you will encounter at most of the stages. They will charge at you and attack you to deal with 12% of dmg of your health. It can be eliminated easily after charging your melee weapon at the half and striking him on its head. Even the low damaging weapons also eliminate Striker in 1 Headshot.
  2. Shooter: Shooters are also the common enemy who attacks from distance. Glowing homing spit or light keeps chasing you unless you sidestep them at close proximity to avoid the attack. They deal 5% dmg and can be eliminated easily after a single full charge blow on the head from your melee weapon. Medium dmg weapons are helpful to eliminate them in 1 Headshot.
  3. Scout: Scouts are enemies who are not in a sleeper state and has roots or tendrils coming out of its body to detect the movement and alert their companions. It works the same as any other game when the enemies are alerted and the horde of zombies would pounce at you. In GTFO, you can eliminate Scout in one shot with any high dmg weapons, aimed at the head. You can charge your melee weapon to the max and go for the head blow to decapitate and finish him in one blow.
  4. Big Striker: As the name suggests, Big Striker is an evolved species of Striker and has the same attack pattern as of its lower version. Though you can stagger and interrupt Big Striker with a fully charged melee attack and eliminate it with 4x full charge dmg. Weapons such as main and special will also require a considerate amount of focus and dmg to eliminate the Big Striker. An efficient way to kill Big Striker is to gang up on him and eliminate him at the beginning before this becomes more nuisance.
  5. Big Shooter: Similarly, Big Shooter is an evolved species that shoots multiple glowing homing lights towards you. It is quite unsafe but to some extent, you can eliminate these Big shooters with 4x full charge melee dmg on the head.

Alert Distance And Criteria

Most of the enemies are in a sleeping state and unaware of your existence unless they are disturbed or notice you. They will alert all and charge towards you, to avoid such situations it’s better to understand the mechanic behind it.

  • Flash Light
  • Shooting Noise

The Flash Light alerts the enemies when they glow red and is detectable. While swinging your melee weapon on the air makes you still undetectable if they are not alert. Though your weapon noise will make it easy for them to detect your presence. The heartbeats will grow when the enemies are inside 5m of your range.

Tools

Tools are an additional utility, which is used to either slow down enemies, detect their position and damage them. For each purpose there are different utilities which have been mentioned below:

  1. Bio Tracker: It allows you to scan and detect the nearby biological presence of enemies and their location even they are behind walls sleeping or hiding. It is a very useful utility and allows you to determine whether the place is safe for sneaking out or compare distance. As it is useful, any single player can equip Bio Tracker for your team as without any radar info things might get scary.
  2. C-Foam Launcher: It shoots foam which makes the floor sticky perhaps as the enemies are slowed down when they rush towards you from the floor. It also roots the enemies sometimes which makes it very easy while defending yourself against horde in a small vicinity. You can even spray your foam on the doors to stick them together and make it harder for them to break down the door.
  3. Mine Deployer: It allows you to plant mine and its laser detection has a single flaw as Strikers may crawl under if the mines are not placed properly. Mine Deployer is a perfect scenario to eliminate the horde of enemies who will rush at your location. The splash damage is also effective against big enemies such as Big Striker and Big Shooter.
  4. Sentry Gun: It is a very powerful tool which depends on the placement. There are a burst sentry gun and a shotgun entry gun which automatically shoots and gives high priority to the enemies that are close by. There might be a few occasions that your sentry tools can damage you when you are standing in between the enemy that has been locked on and the sentry turret. Remember, Shotgun turret can one-shot normal enemies whereas the Burst Sentry Gun shoots on the head.

Terminal Guide In GTFO

Ammunition is pretty scarce and can also be located with the help of Terminals. Terminals give you all the basic information you need. The commands will pop out when you use the Terminal. As mentioned, “List” provides you the list of all items which can be located further with the help of “QUERY”. Query allows you to locate the items in which zone they are placed.

After you have the item name and ID, you can type it for example- Query ID_******. After getting the information about the zone where it is located, go to the same zone and ping the ID of the item in same manner. You can even skip the zones and if the zones are explored already, it makes it easier to ping your item. You can even press the UP arrow key to display the previous command which has been entered in GTFO.
